Welcome to Skiathos Property Brokerage. We are Geof Baldry (English), Lida Baldry (Dutch), Gigi Varsakis (half Greek, half Dutch) and Jacqui Morris (English). We (Geof and Lida)
have lived in Skiathos as an integral part of the community for the last
thirty years and know the island as well, if not better than most
natives. Ten years ago we created Skiathos Property and have been
selling villas, town houses, commercial properties and plots of land to
discerning clients ever since. We are able to ease you through all the
paperwork and any legal problems that might arise during the process of
acquiring property on this beautiful island and will see you through
your purchase from start to finish. In 2007, we were then joined by Jacqui who, like Gigi, had holidayed on the island for many summers. Jacqui moved here in 2005 and has since become a permanent resident. If you are contemplating buying property in Skiathos, we would be delighted to assist and guide you through the process from start to finish. Please email us at property@skiathosinfo.com to let us know what type of property you are looking for. We will then prepare a portfolio and arrange viewings whilst you are here on your holiday. Our office is situated just 50 metres from the harbour at the bottom of Papadiamantis Street (the main street), on the first floor of the building that has the "Syraina" Antiques and Jewellery shop on the ground floor. Just go to the left around Syraina and you will see our sign and stairs leading to our office. You are very welcome to call in to see the large and varied selection of properties on our books, and have a free consultation. We look forward to welcoming you to Skiathos.

| If you are thinking of buying a property
here, we are here to help you all the way through the process. This is
just the exact reason why you should prefer to deal with a professional
and established agency that has a responsibility to deal according
to the law, and that has to protect their name. Once you have decided to
invest in a property here in Greece, there will always be someone with a
"friend" that can find you a property, avoiding the expenses of the Real
Estate broker. There are several things you should be extra careful. These "friends" don't do it for nothing.. They too expect a commission. But as they are not professionals, they will only be interested in selling you something, and letting you handle all the rest yourself. And there is where it can get tricky. It is easy when the place belongs to one person, and the object is free of any burdens and you have all the cash money to pay straight away. But who will arrange for your tax number? What if you are not provided with all the right paperwork, and you don't know it? What if you end up buying something that is illegal for the bigger part of it, or a plot that you can't build on, because no one told you you are not allowed to chop forest, and it turns out to be less then 4 stremmata clean building ground? Or a plot that doesn't have a formal access road? There are many reasons to choose to deal with property through a registered real estate agency:
Especially when you can't be here all the time, it is very important to have someone you trust dealing with your case, to keep the procedure moving and to feel safe when you can't be here. We can provide you the security you need and deserve.
